Double win at this year’s Storage Awards delivers well-earned Green Recognition for NCE NCE Computer Group, leading Service Company and Data Storage & Virtualisation Reseller, collected two top honours at this year’s Storage Industry awards.
‘Service Company of the Year’ and ‘Green Storage Solution of the Year’ were the awards collected by NCE at this year’s ‘Storries’, held at the Tower Hotel, London. The ‘Storrie’ Awards are based on votes from readers of the Storage magazine, the UK’s number one IT Storage Magazine. Winning the ‘Service Company of the Year’ award further recognises NCE’s ability to provide a comprehensive range of Data Storage services, which demonstrate insight and adaptation in an industry constantly moving forward.
The ‘Green Storage Solution of the Year’ award is a new category introduced at this year’s Storage Awards, recognising the Storage industry’s need to take an ethical standpoint by reducing energy consumption and minimising waste as storage requirements increase. In co-operation with its Partner- the Honda Racing F1 Team, NCE comfortably scooped this environmental award, in recognition for the 100 TB solution implemented at the Honda Racing F1 Team’s operation Centre, at Brackley, Northants. NCE worked with The Honda Racing F1 team to consolidate their storage with VMware Virtualisation software, operating in tandem with the Nexsan SATAbeast and Datacore’s SANSymphony. The energy savings made possible by the Honda Racing F1 teams employment of Nexsan’s SATABeast AutoMAID function, optimised with better utilisation through Datacore’s software, fitted perfectly within the Honda Racing F1 Team’s ‘Earthdreams’ program. ‘Earthdreams’ is a global network of environmental projects, selected, funded and powered by the the Honda Racing F1 team and it’s partners.
