In December of 2009 TRT was facing a challenge of moving Sun/STK SL500s for an end-user in Australia. As these are production systems, reducing downtime and assuring prompt restoral of service were key issues at the new data center sites. NCE consulted with System Engineers at TRT in Australia to provide a detailed relocation plan well in advance of the move, including a contingency plan to assure the relocation would meet the time and availability windows required by the client. NCE Customer Service Engineer, Mark Webb, was on call during and after the relocations to provide prompt problem resolution and guidance to TRT onsite Systems Engineers. This 14,000 mile team effort, lead to a successful relocation experience.
