NCE Computer Group is please to announce it’s recognition for commitment to conserving the environment by achieving accreditation to the ISO 14001:2004 standard. The ISO14001:2004 standard requires the implementation of an Environmental Management System in accordance with defined internationally recognised standards and regulations. In addition, the Environmental Management System must include appropriate monitoring and review procedures to ensure the effective functioning of the system and to identify and implement corrective measures in a timely manner. The standard applies to those environmental aspects over which an organisation has control and where it can be expected to have an influence. In an age where ‘Green IT’ and ‘sustainability’ are the buzz words of the IT industry, this is clear testimony to NCE’s commitment to the environment and the good practice that runs throughout the company. Environmental impact is becoming an increasingly important issue across the globe, with pressure to minimize that impact coming from a number of sources: local and national governments, regulators, trade associations, customers, employees and shareholders. Social pressures are also building up from the growing array of interested parties, such as consumer, environmental and non-governmental organizations. At time where NCE are about to launch a number of Environmentally sensitive products and services, this certification underpins our commitment to manage our impact on the environment.
